Greenprint Year 2 Final Report

Category: Live Labs 2

Date:

The Greenprint project is pioneering new ways for councils to manage green spaces and roadside verges, turning everyday grass cuttings into valuable resources. By transforming cuttings into biofuels, biochar, and materials for road construction, the project aims to reduce carbon emissions, support biodiversity, and create wider benefits. Led by South Gloucestershire Council and West Sussex County Council, alongside partner organisations, Greenprint is part of ADEPT Live Labs 2: Decarbonising Local Roads, a £30 million UK-wide programme funded by the Department for Transport. This report highlights the progress and innovations achieved in the project’s second year in a 3-year programme.
