Roadworker Safety Leadership Summit
Roadworker Safety Leadership Summit
Hilton Metropole, NEC, Birmingham
The main aim of this Summit is to ensure Roadworker Safety is on everyone’s agenda and improve the protection of both roadworkers (including construction workers) and road users over the entire UK highway network.
Plenary Session Speakers
Andrew Jones MP - Ministerial Address
Peter Baker - HSE Chief Inspector for Construction
Mike Ashworth - ADEPT Transport Board
Lee Rushbrooke - HTMA
David Quarmby CBE
The event will bring together representatives from national and local government with contractors from the maintenance and major project communities, as well as other stakeholders.
The Summit will connect our community in this common purpose and provide the opportunity to share knowledge in an open forum. Only by collaborating in this way can the highways industry promote the changes in behaviour and the innovations required to achieve this aim.
The health and safety challenges faced by delegates will be illustrated through a series of addresses by keynote speakers which will include some of the recent best practices developed to reduce injury to roadworkers.
The breakout sessions will focus on the leadership that is required from senior management to make a real difference and help to change behaviours and cultures, as well as sharing existing good practice within the key themes.
Calls to Action for the industry will be highlighted from each group that will help to create the vision and challenge for a highways industry health and safety action plan towards 2025.
Roadworkers 2015 is a not-for-profit event and any surplus will be donated to charity. The cost of the day is just £150 + VAT and you may book places online for you and/or your colleagues.
