The Bus Recovery Grant Extension secured to continue supporting the sector from 6 April – 4 October 2022 was £106.8m. The Department retained an element of this funding, to be accessed by Local Transport Authorities, for them to support commercial operators in their regions for specific and limited interventions. This guidance and application set out the criteria and eligibility for applications for this contingency fund and can only be accessed by operators via their LTA.
